Our approach: collect the information needed to run the product, keep payment credentials with established payment providers, and do not sell personal information or use it for third-party targeted advertising.

IMPORTANT

Passwords and full card details stay with specialized providers.

Supabase manages authentication credentials. Stripe or PayPal processes payment credentials. VectorDesk does not receive your plaintext password or full card number, although we store limited account, billing, subscription, and transaction identifiers needed to operate your access.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to vectordeskapp.com, the VectorDesk workspace, account and billing flows, email features, support communications, and the affiliate program. A linked third-party website has its own privacy practices.

2. Information we collect

Account and identity information

Email address, display name, authentication-provider user ID, account role, plan, subscription status, account dates, and recent workspace activity.

Research and preference information

Saved tickers, ticker notes, checklist selections, recent searches, price-reminder settings and trigger status, bias snapshots, theme preference, and optional weekly-summary preference.

Billing information

Payment provider, customer and subscription identifiers, price or plan identifier, billing status, billing period, cancellation status, transaction identifiers, charge amount, currency, refund, reversal, and dispute status. Stripe or PayPal—not VectorDesk—handles full payment-card or bank credentials.

Referral and affiliate information

Affiliate code and status, referral cookie and attribution, signup timing, commission calculations, review and payout status, payout reference, and refund or dispute adjustments. Affiliate dashboards do not reveal a referred member's name, email, or payment details.

Email and support information

Welcome-email and weekly-summary delivery identifiers and dates, email preferences, and information you include when contacting support.

Technical information

Hosting, security, authentication, and service providers may process IP address, browser or device information, timestamps, request logs, cookies, local browser storage, and similar diagnostic information needed to deliver and protect the service.

3. How we use information

  • create, authenticate, secure, and support accounts;
  • provide watchlists, research tools, preferences, and plan limits;
  • process subscriptions, reconcile provider events, and prevent billing errors or fraud;
  • attribute referrals, calculate commissions, review reversals, and document payouts;
  • send a one-time account welcome and optional weekly summaries you enable;
  • respond to account, legal, billing, cancellation, and privacy requests;
  • monitor reliability, investigate abuse, protect users, and comply with law; and
  • understand and improve product operation without selling your personal information.

4. When information is shared

We share information only as reasonably necessary with service providers and for lawful business purposes. Current provider categories include:

  • Supabase for account authentication;
  • OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure for hosting, network delivery, security, and database storage;
  • Stripe and PayPal for checkout, billing management, payment events, refunds, and disputes;
  • Resend for account and optional research-summary email;
  • market, news, and earnings providers when server requests use a ticker or date to retrieve information; and
  • professional advisers, authorities, or counterparties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce rights, protect safety, or complete a business reorganization.

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that practice changes, we will update this policy and provide required choices before the change applies.

5. Cookies and browser storage

VectorDesk uses browser storage for authentication sessions, theme preference, and temporary redirect or password-recovery state. A first-party vectordesk_referral cookie may remember a valid referral for up to 30 days. It is marked Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite=Lax.

We do not currently load third-party advertising pixels or behavioral-advertising cookies. Read the Cookie Notice for more detail.

6. Retention

We retain account and workspace information while your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward to provide the service, resolve requests, preserve security, and meet legal obligations. Billing, tax, referral, payout, dispute, and fraud-prevention records may be retained longer where reasonably necessary or legally required.

Provider systems may retain information under their own policies. Deleting a VectorDesk account does not require a payment provider, publisher, or legal authority to erase records it must independently retain.

7. Your choices and requests

  • Edit or remove watchlists, notes, recent searches, reminders, and checklist items inside the workspace.
  • Turn the optional weekly summary off from Daily Brief.
  • Manage or cancel a subscription from Plan & billing.
  • Request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of account information by emailing us from the account email.

We may verify identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained where required for billing, taxes, security, disputes, legal claims, or compliance. To delete an account with active billing, cancel the subscription or ask us to coordinate cancellation first.

8. Security

We use access controls, encrypted connections, provider-hosted payment and authentication systems, server-side authorization, and restricted administrator views. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, or interruption will never occur.

9. Children and geographic processing

VectorDesk is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Contact us if you believe a child provided information.

VectorDesk is operated for a United States audience. Information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our providers operate, subject to provider safeguards and applicable law.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the product, providers, or law changes. We will post the new effective date and provide additional notice when required.
