VECTORDESK FIELD GUIDE

Read the market in layers.

VectorDesk gives you a directional summary, not a trade command. Start with the broad trend, locate price around meaningful levels, and wait for confirmation before forming a plan.

THE CORE RULEDirection
+ location
+ confirmation

A strong score in the middle of nowhere is weaker than an aligned setup reacting at a well-defined level.

01 · DAILY WORKFLOW

From ticker to a clear thesis.

Use the same sequence every time. Consistency helps prevent one exciting number or headline from taking over the entire decision.

1

Search a ticker or company

Load the quote, live chart, nine timeframe readings, levels, signal detail, and related headlines.

2

Read the composite bias

Use the overall score and confidence to understand direction and agreement, not as a trade command.

3

Choose your timeframe

Use 1D and 4H as practical anchors, then select the frame that matches your intended decision horizon.

4

Locate price on the chart

Compare the live candle chart with support, resistance, the structure-box floor, midpoint, and ceiling.

5

Confirm the evidence

Review signal detail, candle closes, momentum, volume, news, and nearby earnings risk for Pro users.

6

Define risk and monitor

Record the thesis in Daily Brief, finish the checklist, set a price reminder, and save the ticker for reassessment.

02 · BIAS SCORE

Start with the score. Never stop there.

The score combines trend structure, momentum, moving averages, and volume. The overall reading weights the larger timeframes more heavily.

+55 to +100
Strong bullish

Most weighted evidence points higher.

+18 to +54
Bullish

Buyers have an edge, but confirmation still matters.

-17 to +17
Neutral

Evidence is mixed or direction is not established.

-54 to -18
Bearish

Sellers have an edge, but location still matters.

-100 to -55
Strong bearish

Most weighted evidence points lower.

!

A bullish score does not mean “buy now.”If price is directly under resistance, the upside may be limited even when the trend is positive.

03 · TIMEFRAME MAP

Match the timeframe to the decision.

Small frames help with timing. Large frames define context. Do not let a one-minute move overrule a daily trend without strong evidence.

FramesRoleWhat to look for
1m · 5mExecution

Entry timing and very short-term momentum. Expect the most noise.

15m · 30mIntraday

Session direction, intraday pullbacks, and nearby levels.

1h · 4hSwing structure

The bridge between today’s move and the broader trend.

1DPrimary context

A practical anchor for the main trend and important levels.

1W · 1MMacro context

Long-term structure. Levels can be far away and are not entry signals by themselves.

CLEANER

1D bullish · 4h bullish · 1h bullish

The main horizons agree. Look for a pullback into support or a confirmed resistance break.

MIXED

1D bullish · 4h neutral · 1h bearish

The larger trend is positive while the shorter trend is correcting. Wait for the 1h or 4h to stabilize.

CAUTION

1D bearish · 5m strongly bullish

This can be a countertrend bounce. Treat the 5m move as short-term until larger structure changes.

04 · KEY LEVELS

Levels tell you where the score matters.

VectorDesk maps repeated price reactions and confirmed two-sided structure. Always select the timeframe that matches your intended holding period.

LIVE

S2

STRUCTURE BOX

Ceiling · 50% line · floor

The ceiling is the upper boundary, the floor is the lower boundary, and the midpoint is the decision line. Price holding above 50% shows stronger positioning inside the box; below 50% shows weaker positioning.

CONFIRMATION

Use the candle close.

A wick or brief price poke through a level is not the same as a confirmed break. The app’s breakout, breakdown, and recovery reads use closes around the structure.

WHY WEEKLY LEVELS LOOK FAR AWAY

They describe macro structure.

A 1W level may come from a major reaction months or years ago, so it can be far from today’s quote. Use 4h or 1D for nearer tactical levels and 1W for long-term context.

05 · PRO RESEARCH WORKFLOW

Prioritize first. Then validate.

Pro helps you find names worth researching, check market-moving events, and keep a deeper watchlist. It does not replace the nine-timeframe analysis.

01MARKET SCANNER

Build a shortlist from relative strength.

The scanner ranks a curated 16-stock universe using the daily move, strength versus SPY, move from the open, volume pace, and composite score.

  1. Open Pro scanner from the dashboard menu.
  2. Choose Leaders or Laggards.
  3. Compare Today, Vs SPY, volume pace, and score.
  4. Select a row to open the complete ticker workspace.
IMPORTANT

A high scanner rank is a shortlist signal, not an entry signal. Confirm the chart, levels, and news.

02EARNINGS HUB

Check the catalyst before the chart.

The hub shows selected companies above $500M market cap across six upcoming business sessions and five recent sessions.

  1. Use Upcoming for the date, session, and EPS estimate.
  2. Use Recently reported for actual EPS and surprise.
  3. Select a company to review its metrics and related news.
  4. Open full analysis to validate its bias and levels.
IMPORTANT

Upcoming dates are estimates and can change. Check earnings proximity before relying on a technical setup.

06 · WHAT TO LOOK FOR

Run this check before acting.

The best-looking setups combine several independent pieces of evidence and have a clear point where the idea becomes invalid.

01

DirectionDo the 4h and 1D point the same way?

02

LocationIs price near support, resistance, or the structure-box midpoint?

03

ConfirmationDid a candle close through the level, or did price only touch it?

04

ParticipationDo momentum, averages, and volume support the move?

05

CatalystIs fresh news or a major event changing the setup?

06

InvalidationWhat exact price proves the thesis wrong?

CONSTRUCTIVE SETUP

Alignment + nearby level + confirmed close

  • 4h and 1D agree
  • Price reacts at a clear level
  • Momentum and volume support the move
  • Invalidation is close and specific
WAIT / NO TRADE

Conflict + poor location + no confirmation

  • Timeframes point in opposite directions
  • Price sits in the middle of a wide range
  • The nearest useful level is far away
  • Fresh news makes the read unstable
EDUCATIONAL USE

VectorDesk summarizes technical market data. It does not know your objectives, risk tolerance, position size, or financial situation. Scores and levels can fail, especially around earnings, economic releases, low liquidity, and market gaps.

USE THE PROCESS

Build the thesis. Define the risk.

Open a ticker, start with 1D and 4h, then work down to the timeframe that matches your decision.
